Lance Reddick's wife shares emotional tribute after sudden death

After passing away unexpectedly on Friday at the age of 60, actor Lance Reddick is mourned by his loved ones.

Lance was stolen from us way too soon, said the late actor's wife Stephanie Reddick in a message to Instagram on Saturday.

"We appreciate your tremendous love, support, and lovely tales that you have shared over the last day on various sites. I'm overwhelmed with gratitude for having received your letters, which I have seen."

According to his agent, Mia Hansen, Lance Reddick, a seasoned character actor best known for playing Cedric Daniels on "The Wire" and for his work in the "John Wick" film series, passed away from natural causes.

Wendall Pierce, who played Reddick on "Wire," described him as a "guy of enormous strength and elegance" in a tribute on Friday.

As gifted a musician as an actor, according to Pierce. "the pinnacle of elegance. A sudden, unforeseen, sharply painful loss for our family of artists. Unfathomable anguish for his own family and close friends. Best wishes, my buddy. Here, you left your mark."
